There was an Arts vs. Crafts show at the Red Strap this past weeekend, where I have my studio. Great show - some really fun work, and truly great quality stuff for sale. We have some incredibly talented people in our little city.
Check out
Some hightlights from the show:
Jonathan Luckhurst's photography.
Allan -Dymarz leather bags.
Raymond Beisinger's prints.
But yanno - GO to the arts vs. Crafts site and check the links out yourself. There's so much there ... kudos to all!
Looking forward to the next one ...
Also - the NOA show, later this month - a blurb from them:
Edmonton is March 17th-19th at the Ramada Inn on 118st and Kingsway Ave... a weekend festival with body art, belly dancing, flamenco dancing, poetry, live art by Lewis Lavoie, a retro party dance band, an incredible percussion ensemble, an afternoon of Alberta's finest folk musicians, a grand Finale with Chris Wynters from Captain Tractor, Daisy Blue Groff From the Painting Daisies and Stew Kirkwood from Welcome and the Rotting Fruit.
Three nights of art and music and general good times. Should be fun.
